A growing alternative investment platform is seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join its Fund Accounting team. This role offers exposure across fund accounting, investor reporting, performance analysis, capital activity, audits, and real estate investment operations.
The position provides direct interaction with fund administrators, investors, property managers, and senior leadership while supporting a rapidly expanding platform with long-term growth opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform fund-level and investment-level reconciliations and tie-outs
Coordinate with third-party administrators and review books and records
Review waterfall calculations, investor allocation schedules, and partner capital accounts
Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules
Review annual audited financial statements prepared by fund administrators
Support investor reporting, due diligence requests, and ad hoc investor inquiries
Assist with property-level reporting, lender covenant reporting, audits, and onboarding activities
Calculate investment and investor performance metrics and analyze cash flows
Facilitate internal and external reporting processes
Process and monitor fund and property-level expenses
Coordinate invoice approvals, vendor allocations, and payment activity
Prepare capital calls, distributions, and supporting reconciliations
Partner with internal teams and external service providers to ensure timely reporting
Support interim and year-end fund audits
Prepare quarterly expense accruals and perform historical expense analysis
QUALIFICATIONS
2 5 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or investment accounting
Experience with private funds, alternative investments, real estate funds, or similar investment structures preferred
Understanding of capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, and investor allocations
Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and supporting schedules
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
Ability to work with fund administrators, auditors, investors, and external service providers
Strong Excel and financial reporting capabilities
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Public accounting candidates with financial services, real estate, or alternative investment client exposure are encouraged to apply
CPA or CPA-track candidates are a plus
Interest in long-term growth within fund accounting and investment operations preferred
