Our client is seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Business Analyst to join their middle office team. This role offers the opportunity to drive accounting process improvements, partner with stakeholders across the organization, and work with sophisticated financial systems in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Act as primary business partner with stakeholders to analyze and document accounting requirements related to middle office operations
Assess position movements and accounting transactions across multiple trading and accounting systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with front office, operations, and technology teams to ensure seamless integration of accounting workflows and resolve reconciliation issues
Drive independent analysis, break down complex accounting challenges into actionable insights, and communicate findings clearly to technical and business audiences
Prepare documentation on accounting processes, system integrations, and workflow enhancements for stakeholder review
Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and controls
Provide subject matter expertise on fund accounting practices and middle office best practices throughout the engagement
Requirements
7 10 years of experience in middle office accounting, fund accounting, or related financial services roles
Strong proficiency with financial systems including Aladdin, RKS, and Geneva
Demonstrated experience with account reconciliation, position tracking, and portfolio management accounting
Solid understanding of front office accounting workflows and how they integrate with middle office processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present clear recommendations
Strong client-facing and communication skills; ability to partner effectively with non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
