Fund Accounting ManagerLocation: Chicago, Boston, or Carmel, INJob DescriptionProvide mentorship and leadership to team members, ensure team training and career developmentServe as lead contact for client and their investors, auditors, and other partiesManage and oversight the production of financial statements and supporting schedules, including, but not limited to, journal entries, trial balances, and capital activitiesReview investor allocations, ad-hoc communications with investors, workpapers and unaudited financial statements, partners' capital statements, and all reports for both limited and general partnersPerform review of IRR's and returns and discussing resultsAnalyze management fees, incentive fee, and waterfall calculationsEnsure fund/account compliance with client agreement(s)Manage client expectations and communicate deliverables clearly and timelyAssist with open items list / auditor communications, 1099 form preparation, and onboarding process for both new clients and new fundsReview and assist in spearheading ongoing Credit Fund automation projectCommunicate with senior team members on the status of reports and projectsMonitor and create fund/account efficiencies and ensure implementation of improvementsWork with senior team members on special requests from clientsAssist with the development of policies and proceduresYour Profile7+ years of professional experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similarExpertise in Credit Fund Accounting and Bank Loan Markets operationsIn depth understanding of private credit and structured product investmentsExperience preparing journal entries and other fund accounting process (e.g. cash, investments, intercompany, credit facility, accruals, valuations, management fees, invoices, partner allocation, and carried interest)Deep knowledge of Fund Accounting technology platformsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tablesUnderstanding of multiple vehicle structures including parallel, co-investor, blocker, feeder and holding company structuresAbility to quickly learn and understand Alter Domus' accounting systems and corresponding reportingSkilled at proactively identifying issues and recommend long‑term solutionsCapacity to multitask, working on multiple client and/or fund deadlinesEffective communicator with clientsCapable of working both independently and on a teamExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsExperience managing a team is a plusSalary range depending on location and experience: $110,000-$130,000What We OfferSupport for professional accreditationsFlexible arrangements, generous holidays, plus an additional day off for your birthday!Continuous mentoring along your career progressionActive sports, events and social committees across our offices24/7 support available from our Employee Assistance ProgramThe opportunity to invest in our growth and success through our Employee Share PlanPlus additional local benefits depending on your locationAlter Domus is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Equity Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
