Fund Administration Manager

A leading investment management firm is seeking a Manager, Fund Administration Operations to oversee fund administration processes supporting mutual funds and ETFs. This role will focus on operational excellence, process improvement, automation, technology solutions, and service provider oversight. The ideal candidate will have strong fund administration experience, a background in registered investment products, and a passion for leveraging technology to improve efficiency, controls, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives through automation, AI-enabled solutions, Power BI, Tableau, and other technologies.
• Manage and develop an Investment Operations Analyst, providing guidance and prioritization.
• Oversee fund administrators and custodians, including service reviews, exception management, and operational issue resolution.
• Support fund valuation processes, pricing oversight, and escalation of operational issues.
• Partner with internal teams including Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Product to implement operational enhancements.
• Support new fund launches by coordinating operational readiness and execution.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve workflows, and enhance operational scalability.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and analytics to improve visibility and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of fund administration or investment operations experience.
• Experience supporting mutual funds or ETFs within the investment industry.
• Strong knowledge of fund operations, valuation processes, expense accruals, and service provider oversight.
• Experience leading projects, process improvements, or teams preferred.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and automation/AI tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational controls and continuous improvement.
