Fund Controller

Full-Time | Hybrid
Location: Downtown Boston, MA
Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000

Position Overview

CFS has partnered with an investment management firm in seeking an experienced Fund Controller to join their finance and operations team. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing fund accounting, operational processes, financial reporting, and third-party service provider relationships across a diverse portfolio of investment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Oversee fund accounting, NAV reporting, financial statements, and audit coordination.
• 
  
• Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, banks, and other service providers.
• 
  
• Support valuation processes and assist with regulatory reporting requirements.
• 
  
• Partner with investment, operations, and investor relations teams on ongoing fund activities.
• 
  
• Assist with budgeting, cash management, and treasury-related functions.
• 
  
• Support new fund launches and operational improvement initiatives.
• 
  
• Ensure investor reporting and other key deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 
  
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 
  
• 8+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, asset management, or public accounting.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of partnership accounting and investment fund structures.
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• 
  
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
• 
  
• Experience working with third-party administrators and external service providers.
•
