Fund Operations Specialists support the day-to-day operational functions of investment funds, ensuring accurate processing, reporting, and controls across the fund lifecycle. The role combines operational execution, data oversight, and cross-functional coordination to support investment teams while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
These roles often involve close collaboration with portfolio managers, fund accounting, operations teams, compliance, administrators, custodians, and external service providers.
Support daily fund operations, including trade processing, cash movements, and reconciliations
Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, and counterparties to ensure accurate NAVs and reporting
Monitor and resolve breaks in cash, positions, and valuations
Support fund-level reporting, including performance, exposure, and investor reporting
Assist with subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions
Maintain fund documentation, operational procedures, and internal controls
Support audits, regulatory filings, and compliance-related requests
Analyze operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and process improvement opportunities
Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc operational reports for internal stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of fund structures, operations, and financial instruments
Experience or coursework in fund operations, fund accounting, or asset management (preferred)
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or fund systems is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in deadline-driven environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in fund operations, asset management, and operational excellence
