Fund Strategy Analysts do not wait months for placement—once verified, they can immediately begin earning income while supporting live funds and portfolio strategies across our network.
Initio Sphere is seeking qualified finance professionals to join as Certified Fund Strategy Analysts.
This is not a traditional employment role. Analysts operate as independent contractors and are activated through Initio Sphere’s certification and verification process.
Once approved, Fund Strategy Analysts:
Are promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
Gain access to fund-level mandates and paid strategic analytical work
Support fund managers, investors, and operators on portfolio construction and capital deployment decisions
Contribute to fund strategy, performance analysis, and investment positioning
Build a verified fund and deal track record and Analyst Rating Score
Certification tiers:
Senior Fund Strategy Analyst · Lead Fund Strategy Analyst · Fund Strategy Analyst / Associate
Rating Score: 90–100
Pay: $150–$200/hour
Typical Background:
Former private equity, venture capital, asset management, fund-of-funds, or senior investment/strategy professionals with 5+ years of fund strategy or portfolio experience
Rating Score: 80–89
Pay: $100–$150/hour
Typical Background:
Finance professionals with 3–5 years of experience in fund analytics, portfolio strategy, valuation, or investment research
Rating Score: 60–79
Pay: $50–$100/hour
Typical Background:
Entry to mid-level analysts with strong analytical skills and exposure to fund analysis, modeling, or transaction support
Fund Strategy Analysts are engaged based on category-specific approvals, earned through assessment and performance—not tenure.
Support fund formation and investment mandate development
Analyze portfolio construction, diversification, and deployment pacing
Evaluate risk-return profiles and fund-level downside scenarios
Translate deal-level insights into fund strategy recommendations
Build and maintain fund-level cash flow, IRR, DPI, and TVPI models
Analyze capital calls, distributions, and liquidity planning
Support valuation updates and portfolio performance reviews
Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses at the fund level
Analyze market trends, sector exposures, and peer fund benchmarks
Support fundraising narratives and LP-facing materials
Assist with IC materials and portfolio review presentations
Contribute to ongoing LP reporting and performance updates
Analysts may only perform work in categories for which they are explicitly approved.
Complete the Analyst Certification Assessment or approved training
Receive category-specific approvals (Fund Strategy, Modeling, Valuation, Portfolio Analysis)
Become verified on the Initio Sphere platform
Begin earning immediately through hourly projects and live fund strategy engagements
No cold applications. No unpaid “experience.”
Verified Fund Strategy Analysts are actively promoted to fund managers and capital partners.
To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
Score 70% in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
Completion of Initio Sphere Financial Training
Active professional credential (CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent)
Each analyst receives a 0–100 Analyst Rating Score, which determines:
Platform visibility and access to fund strategy work
Approved work categories
Recommended hourly rates
Scores are dynamically updated based on analytical rigor, strategic contribution, and client feedback.
Analysts are independent contractors, not employees
Hourly rates depend on Rating Score and approval level
Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees
Maximum deal-based earning: $2,500 per transaction
Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
Initio Sphere reserves the right to revoke approvals for quality or compliance issues
Fund Strategy Analysts do not:
Provide investment advice
Solicit securities
Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity
All work is limited to analytical, diligence, and fund strategy support functions and must comply with applicable securities laws.
