Role Description:
Audit area: Funds Transfer Pricing, Treasury, ALM, and business P&L
Position Summary
The organization is seeking two experienced Treasury or Finance Audit Testers to support an audit of the Funds Transfer Pricing framework. The FTP framework allocates funding costs, liquidity costs, and other balance sheet economics across businesses and products and directly affects product pricing, business-unit P&L, liquidity incentives, and management reporting.
The testers will evaluate FTP governance, methodology, source data, allocation logic, methodology changes, legal-entity and business-unit attribution, and the reasonableness of resulting financial outcomes.
These are business audit positions rather than pure technology-audit roles. However, candidates should be comfortable evaluating data flows, system-generated calculations, mapping tables, and complex Excel-based analyses.
Key Responsibilities
•Understand the FTP framework, including funding curves, liquidity premiums, tenor assignments, behavioral assumptions, and allocation rules.
•Review governance and accountability across Treasury, ALM, Finance, Risk, Controllers, and business units.
•Evaluate the design and approval of FTP methodologies and recent methodology changes.
•Review ALCO, Treasury, Finance, and model-governance approvals where applicable.
•Trace selected balances and attributes from source systems through data aggregation and the FTP engine to business P&L and reporting outputs.
•Test data completeness, accuracy, mappings, product attributes, legal-entity assignments, and business-unit allocations.
•Select samples of loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, and other relevant positions.
•Independently recalculate selected FTP charges and credits.
•Validate whether appropriate curves, tenors, liquidity premiums, and product treatments were applied.
•Review non-maturity deposit assumptions, where applicable, including deposit betas, decay assumptions, core-balance treatment, and average-life assumptions.
•Evaluate contingent-liquidity attribution and other liquidity-related allocation components.
•Analyze FTP margin trends and identify unusual changes across periods, products, businesses, or legal entities.
•Investigate unexplained variances and differentiate data, methodology, configuration, and business-volume drivers.
•Evaluate manual adjustments, overlays, overrides, and exception-resolution processes.
•Assess whether recent FTP changes were appropriately tested, approved, implemented, and monitored.
•Document test results, control deviations, financial implications, and root causes.
