Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position transports deceased individuals from various locations on a "on call" basis, primarily dedicated to be available evenings and weekends and/or weekday daytime coverage.
Other duties as assigned to include light maintenance, cleaning, filing, etc.
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Must be able to work evenings which may fall on weekends and/or holidays
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Ability to use critical thinking skills and creativity to navigate unique situations and conversations
Ability to safely and efficiently drive a motor vehicle including ability to effectively locate addresses using GPS or other methods
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Must be able to work under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out transports within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Must have excellent driving record, a valid driver license and pass a motor vehicle record check
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to exude kindness, and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with the newly bereaved family
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
