Job Description

1st Shift -  Furniture Assembly - 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble office chairs, seating components, and related products according to specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform upholstery-related tasks, which may include applying fabric or other materials to seat and back components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, staplers, and other production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Install seating components such as arms, bases, casters, mechanisms, backs, and cushions.
  • Inspect materials, components, and finished products for quality and workmanship.
  • Identify and report damaged materials, defective components, or quality concerns.
  • Follow production schedules and meet established productivity and quality expectations.
  • Package and prepare completed products for shipment or transfer to finished goods.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and proper equipment-use requirements.
  • Assist in other production areas as needed.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and other team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, furniture, or similar hands-on experience preferred.
  • Previous upholstery experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
  • Willingness to learn multiple production functions and assist where needed.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move materials, components, and finished products.
  • Ability to safely perform physical work in a manufacturing environment.
