Reports To: Senior Mitigation Technician

What does a Mitigation Technician with Paul Davis do?

• Serve members of the community during their time of need by helping restore properties affected by water, fire, mold, and other types of damage.
• Perform hands-on mitigation and restoration work while following Paul Davis procedures, safety requirements, and industry standards.
• Take pride in completing quality work efficiently, safely, and with attention to detail.
• Provide compassionate and professional customer service while demonstrating empathy and a sense of urgency.
• Work closely with the Senior Mitigation Technician and other team members to complete projects successfully.
• Properly use, maintain, and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Learn and develop restoration skills through hands-on experience, training, and guidance from senior team members.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with customers and the team using company technology and job-management systems.

Team Qualifications (Requirements):

• Positive attitude and desire to be part of a high-performing, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, overtime, and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous restoration, construction, or related experience is a plus, but not required.

Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):

• Perform water mitigation, structural drying, tarping, board-up, mold remediation, carpet cleaning/reinstallation, and other restoration services in accordance with Paul Davis and industry standards.
• Follow the direction of the Senior Mitigation Technician and management team to complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
• Set up, monitor, move, and remove drying and mitigation equipment as directed.
• Assist with demolition, extraction, cleaning, contents handling, and other tasks required to properly mitigate property damage.
• Help document job-site conditions by taking photos, recording moisture readings, and completing required job documentation as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites throughout the mitigation process.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with homeowners, property managers, and other customers.
• Properly use and care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
• Maintain clean, properly stocked, and organized company vehicles.
• Assist with warehouse and facility-related tasks when necessary.
• Communicate job-site concerns, unexpected conditions, or customer questions to the Senior Mitigation Technician or appropriate manager.
• Be accessible by phone and participate in the on-call schedule as required.
• Assist other team members as needed and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.

Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
