Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) Clearing Support Analyst (VN3076)

Role Summary

The FCM Clearing Support provides operations clearing support for Futures & Options. The role covers all top day activity including allocations, Give Ups, Give Ins, and constant monitoring of trade activity to ensure everything is clearing correctly.

Overall Responsibilities

• Ensure all top day tasks are allocated, cleared, and accepted in a timely and efficient manner.  
• Daily monitoring and problem resolution of exchange clearing gateways and third-party clearer file imports.
• Daily monitoring and problem resolution of downstream internal system feeds and process.
• Collaborate with brokers, assisting with all queries and requirements.
• Report any issues to back-office supervisor and clearing manager.
• Ability to work closely with IT and trade support groups, advising of system issues daily.
• Manage top day trade activity to reduce intraday margin calls.
• Efficiently manage correspondence through group mailbox, as well as personal email.
• Ensuring compliance with the company's regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
• Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

• To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility

• To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience

• 3 to 6 years of clearing experience expected
• Knowledge of Ion's XTP Back Office, Ateo LISA, and Teo Clearing software
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this
