Target Range: $145,000.00 /Yr. - $185,000.00 /Yr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 15% Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 15%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

This position is based onsite at our headquarters in San Diego, CA. Irvine, Los Angeles, or Denver may also be considered. Remote work is not available.

Axos was born digital, providing consumer banking services without any brick‑and‑mortar locations and has continued evolving since. The Axos Consumer Product team drives the vision and roadmap for this evolution and is adding an FVP, Product Management, Consumer Financial Platform to lead multiple mission‑critical product domains across the Axos digital ecosystem.

Job Summary

This senior leadership role owns end‑to‑end product strategy and execution across the full consumer financial lifecycle, including:

• New Account Opening (self‑service and proxy) • Core Banking and Money Movement • Personal Finance Management & Customer Engagement • Investments (Self‑Directed Brokerage, Robo‑Advisory, and Crypto)

Key Responsibilities

Customer Lifecycle & Platform Scope

• Own the front‑door experience for customer acquisition, including identity verification, KYC/KYB, fraud prevention, and conversion optimization • Lead core banking experiences, including deposits, payments, money movement, and debit card management • Drive ongoing engagement and financial value, including net‑worth tracking, credit insights, wealth accumulation, and planning tools • Oversee investment experiences, including brokerage, robo‑advisory, and crypto offerings, ensuring customer trust, regulatory compliance, and performance alignment

Product Strategy

• Define a unified product vision, approach, and multi‑year roadmap that differentiates Axos across banking, investing, onboarding, and engagement • Conduct competitive analysis and monitor trends across fintech, banking, financial planning, payments, fraud, identity, and investments to proactively identify innovation opportunities

Industry & Domain Expertise

• Present product strategy, performance, and trade‑offs to senior executives and align roadmaps with company‑level priorities

Execution at Scale

• Lead large‑scale, cross‑platform initiatives in partnership with Technology, UX, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Business stakeholders

Go‑to‑Market Leadership

• Drive GTM execution through cross‑functional dependency alignment with Marketing, Sales, and Operations

Experimentation & Optimization

• Use A/B testing and data‑driven experimentation to improve conversion, engagement, adoption, and retention

Product Ownership & Metrics

• Own reporting across adoption, funnel performance, usage, financial outcomes, and customer trust metrics

Vendor & Partner Management

• Manage vendor and partner relationships, including build‑vs‑buy decisions and ROI modeling

People Leadership

• Oversee multiple VPs and senior product leaders; responsible for talent development, succession planning, and performance management

Operational Efficiency

• Leverage AI and automation across product processes to improve speed, quality, and decision‑making

Requirements

• Bachelors degree • 5-10+ years of product management, consulting, or related experience • 3-5+ years of senior product leadership experience • Demonstrated experience across one or more of the following domains: • Consumer or business banking and payments • New account opening, identity management, KYC/KYB, and fraud prevention • Personal financial management, fintech, or financial planning tools • Brokerage, robo‑advisory, crypto, or securities‑related products • Experience leading geographically distributed teams • Experience integrating AI capabilities into direct‑to‑consumer digital products • Proven ownership of product KPIs and measurable business outcomes • Strong analytics and reporting experience using tools such as Tableau, Pendo, or similar platforms

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

• Ability to generate a clear product vision and define a path to execution across complex, regulated domains • Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to lead highly cross‑functional teams • Passion for solving customer problems and building trusted digital financial experiences • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously • Ability to adapt quickly and reprioritize in a fast‑paced environment • Exceptional work ethic with a strong bias toward ownership and accountability • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences
