    Description

    The University of South Florida College of Behavioral and Community Sciences is seeking a motivated and creative student to support marketing and communications efforts. This Federal Work Study position offers hands-on experience in content creation, visual storytelling and digital communications, while contributing to the Dean's Office team.

    Required Qualifications

    • Eligible for Federal Work Study program
    • Availability to work during the Fall 2026 term
    • Basic editing and proofreading skills
    • Strong organization and written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to communicate about project progress and meet deadlines
    • Initiative and a willingness to learn

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) AP Style
    • Experience using Canva
    • Experience with photography

    Position Details

    • In-person Federal Work Study position
    • 10-20 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule
    • Qualifies for an internship elective course for students in any major - IDS 3947 (optional)
    • Opportunity to build a professional portfolio
    • Meaningful, real-world experience supporting college initiatives

    • Create, edit and schedule content for social media platforms
    • Draft newsletter content, web content and other marketing materials
    • Design visual assets for social media, email and the web using established brand guidelines
    • Media monitoring
    • Build and format emails and newsletters
    • Assist with promoting college events, including on-site photography
    • Proofread and review materials for accuracy, clarity and AP style consistency
    • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team on a variety of projects
