The College of Education Building Coordinator is looking to hire an enthusiastic student assistant to assist with building tasks. The student assistant is a key support staff member for the Building Coordinator.

Classification Minimum Requirements:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Job Description:

The College of Education Building Coordinator is looking to hire an enthusiastic student assistant to assist with building tasks. The student assistant is a key support staff member for the Building Coordinator. Student assistant tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Classroom support (reset, verification of furniture, and lock/unlock doors)
  • Help with meeting/event space
  • Asset management 
  • Scanning documents 
  • Maintain an orderly and clean facility 
  • Maintain confidentiality 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
Expected Salary:

$14 per hour

Required Qualifications:
  • Be a current University of Florida full-time student in good standing with the University 
  • Qualify for the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program in Fall and Spring 
  • Demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment 
  • Establish an exemplary work ethic by being dependable, productive, paying attention to details and maintaining effective communication
  • Ability to dedicate 10-15 hours per week 
Preferred:
  • Fine attention to detail, professionalism, dependability and effective communication skills 
  • Ability to work as a team member  
  • Prior customer service skills are preferred  
  • Demonstrated communication, organizational and leadership skills 
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills  
  • Self-starter; self-motivated; timely 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel, & Outlook
