FWS Makerspace Student Technician

Department Name & Location: The Berglund Center's Boxer Makerspace, Tran Library 208

Length of employment: 2026-2027 Academic year

Wage rate: $16.80/hour

Supervisor and Hiring Manager: Shereen Khoja, Makerspace Coordinator, Shereen@pacificu.edu

Purpose:The Berglund Center's Boxer Makerspace is a collaborative space where students, faculty and staff can design and build prototypes using tools such as 3D printers, 3D scanners, a vacuum former, an electronics workstation, laser engravers/cutters and other specialized equipment.

Job Description: We are looking for a person who has creative inclinations, who is interested in developing new skills, and who is excited about working with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Pacific University Undergraduate student
• Qualifies for federal work study funding for the 2026-27 academic year (preferred, but not required)
