FWS- Philharmonic Orchestra Work Study Position

Purpose of Position:The purpose of the position is to help with setting up orchestra for weekly rehearsals and concerts. Secondary purpose is to get a light administrative help, if the candidate has time for helping with the administrative side of the orchestra's position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting up orchestra rehearsals on Wednesdays evening at 6 p.m. and putting everything away at 9:30 p.m.
• Once a semester, when we have a concert, work study student will be with us and help with set up on the night of the concert.
• If candidate has more time available, there is always a lot to do with administering orchestra program and we can add 2 hours per week of administrative work.
• Work on organizing the orchestra library as assigned by the orchestra director.

Competencies to practice:

Setting up orchestra requires some physical strength.

Other than that, candidate needs to be reliable.

General Qualifications:

Undergraduate status in any discipline. Preferably, music student.
