FWS - Social Media Manager - Paws and Pumpkins Rescue (CSWS)

This position is only open to current Pacific University Students

Location: Off Campus at Paws and Pumpkins Rescue in Forest Grove

Wage: $16.80/hr

Length of employment: 2026-27 academic year

Purpose of Position: Paws & Pumpkins runs a number of community programs to aid low income families who are in need of pet supplies or financial assistance for pet medical care. Their mission is to rescue stray/feral cats, with an emphasis on cats who have special needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:Students in this position will be in charge of aiding in our social media growth and community connection. Our goal is to use social media to connect with a wider group of individuals, both locally and worldwide, who also support our mission. The Social Media Assistant(s) will be in charge of:

• Filming, photography, editing images
• Writing captions for social media posts
• Engaging with community members on social media

Required:

• Must be able to capture high quality photos and videos
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Must be able to work independently in an effective manner
• Experience using various social media platforms
• Experience working with animals, either volunteer or paid
• Able to to use Google Drive software
• Able to do all duties required in this position WITHOUT the use of generative AI
