Job Description:
We are seeking a mature, self-motivated, and detail-oriented student with exceptional communication skills to lead and coordinate podcasts for Florida 4-H. This individual will take ownership of the podcast from concept through publication, including writing, editing, production, and distribution. This position requires independence, initiative, and a solid understanding of 4-H programs.
Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate all aspects of the Florida 4-H podcast, including content planning, scheduling, guest communications, and timelines.
+ Write, edit, and produce engaging podcast episodes that align with Florida 4-H’s mission and objectives.
+ Edit audio files for clarity, quality, and listener engagement.
+ Publish episodes on appropriate platforms and manage podcast distribution.
+ Write show notes and promotional materials for each episode.
+ Serve as the point of contact for podcast-related communications.
+ Ensure timely delivery of content and maintain high production standards.
+ Other related communications duties as assigned.
Availability:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
10–20 hours per week
Advertised Salary:
$13/hour
Minimum Requirements:
+ Must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
+ Reliable transportation to UF East Campus.
+ Demonstrated ability to create and publish audio content independently.
+ Strong writing, communication, and project management skills.
+ Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
+ Familiarity with 4-H programs; previous 4-H experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, GarageBand).
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams).
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated professionalism in communication and project coordination.
