Job Duties and Responsibilities:
As a student staff member, you will provide friendly and reliable technology support to faculty, staff, students, and campus visitors. You will help answer questions and assist with resolving basic computer, software, and technology issues through phone, in-person, and Zoom support.
Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting common technical issues, researching solutions, documenting support requests accurately, and providing guidance on UIS technology policies and procedures when needed. You will also assist with general technology and administrative tasks that support the daily operations of the Technology Information Center.
For classes, conferences, and special events, you may help set up, deliver, and retrieve technology equipment such as projectors, laptops, and other media devices. You will provide basic support for classroom technology, computer labs, and campus equipment while helping identify and report technology issues. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining printer supplies and contributing to a positive and welcoming technology experience for the entire campus community.
