FX Business Development Representative

Overview:

As our Fun ExpressBusiness Development Representative, you will be responsible for working directly with large existing and prospective Fun Express customers nationwide to increase the revenue and profitability of Fun Express.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

1. Meets or exceeds established sales and activity goals set by the Fun Express Division
2. Manages key, strategic industry and customer relationships (typically account groups over $1,000,000 annually) that consist of hundreds of buying entities primarily by phone (90%) with occasional travel and trade shows (10%)
3. Prospects for new larger opportunities ($20,000+) by calling and following up with sales leads generated through marketing channels and industry partnerships
4. Develops and oversees the implementation of client specific sales strategies - This includes interaction with other areas of the company (product development) and outside vendors as needed
5. Has ultimate responsibility for industry marketplaces and technology connections that support customer purchase transactions
6. Analyzes market and sales data in addition to conducting regular business reviews to implement sales growth strategies with key customers and prospects
7. Plans marketing strategy for and attend tradeshows and industry events
8. Travels to new and existing clients as needed (not to exceed 10% of the time) making formal sales presentations to senior level decision makers
9. Develops and maintains knowledge of competition, pricing, strategies, handling of customer needs and problem resolution
10. Develops and maintains knowledge of competition’s primary products and markets to analyze impacts on Fun Express’ business in competitive markets and to learn and service changing and expanding customer needs
11. Provides key reporting on monthly basis to include but not limited to; Revenue Forecasts, Account Reviews, and Activity Metrics, Travel and Expense Reports
12. Maintains regular and predictable attendance
13. Abides by all policies and procedures of Fun Express and Oriental Trading Company
14. Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
15. Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors

 

Marginal Functions

1. Attends company functions, meetings, seminars, etc. which may not impact their own customer base directly but will positively impact the company as whole
2. Documents sales efforts for current customers, prospects and sales campaigns through Salesforce.com and/or CRM platforms
3. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

• Minimum five years B2B sales or major account management experience
• Minimum three plus years program sales and/or consultative sales experience

 

Other Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
• Strong telephone prospecting and appointment setting skills/experience
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to utilize strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in the office, from home or while traveling
• Ability to provide clear direction to support teams when delegating work
• Ability to travel
• Ability to handle customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to work extra hours when needed
• Ability to perform job duties in a safe manner
