G‑Code CNC Operator and Setup Specialist

Are you the CNC pro who sees problems before they start?

If you thrive on precision and process, this role in Alsip, IL lets you own your setup, optimize changeovers, and keep parts flowing. You’ll operate CNC mills and lathes, read complex prints, and hold tight tolerances—while leaning into SMED, Kaizen, and 5 Whys to make every run better than the last.

What you’ll do

1. Apply standard work to set up machines, run parts, and complete preventive maintenance (PM).
2. Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations; stage and preset tooling for upcoming jobs.
3. Keep visual controls current; propose countermeasures that improve safety, quality, and throughput.
4. Participate in SMED, Kaizen, and 5 Whys to eliminate waste and solve root causes.
5. Troubleshoot and report equipment issues quickly and clearly.
6. Be a visible advocate for safety—protect people, equipment, and property.

Must‑have background

• 3+ years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience.
• Blueprint literacy and the ability to consistently hold tight tolerances.
• Comfort with CNC tooling, CNC programming, G‑code, M‑code, and setup/changeover.
• Experience on CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) and CNC Lathe (2–4 axis).

Compensation and shifts

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–12:30am ($1.35/hr shift differential)
• Pay Range: $23.89–$31.24 per hour
• Sign-On Bonus: $2,000.00 (Payment details at time of offer)
