POSITION SUMMARY:

Graduate Assistant in the Division of Health Science.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform general clerical duties (i.e. filing, copying, mailing, reports, etc.)
  • Assist the division with program assessment (i.e. alumni surveys, senior surveys, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Assist with recruitment of prospective students
  • Order academic and office supplies
  • Maintain calendar and appointment schedule for the division
  • Assist with other clerical duties as deemed necessary for the job position

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pleasant personality and good work ethic
  • Dependability and promptness in working scheduled hours
  • Trustworthy
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work independently and to be creative in problem solving
  • Must meet eligibility for USM Graduate Assistantship program which includes acceptance into one of the USM graduate programs
