Discovery Point Hamilton Mill is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable
GA Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working with preschool-aged children, and is committed to creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the Georgia Pre-K curriculum.
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, playground time, meals, and transitions.
- Assist with classroom management and positive behavior guidance.
- Help prepare and organize learning materials and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records as required.
- Communicate professionally with families and staff members.
- Follow all Bright from the Start (DECAL) licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CDA, TCC, Associate Degree, Paraprofessional certificate or Bachelor Degree is required.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
