GA Pre-K Lead Teacher

Location: Canton, GA 30115

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced GA Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Canton, GA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and committed to supporting the developmental needs of Pre-K children in accordance with Georgia’s Pre-K program standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Georgia Pre-K standards.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Assess and document children’s progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers, staff, and administration to ensure program quality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing and GA Pre-K program requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher certification or eligibility.
• Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or higher; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with Pre-K aged children in a classroom setting.
• Strong knowledge of Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
