The Galen Health Fellows Living and Learning Community (LLC) Program Lead collaborates with the Faculty Director and Residence Life Director in organizing educational programs, developing co-curricular initiatives, and promoting community development for the Galen Health Fellows LLC in Patterson Hall. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: 1. In conjunction with the Faculty Director, develop a programming calendar with events that support the LLC goals that comply with Faculty Director programming expectations 2. Attend programs, track attendance of programs and assess overall effectiveness. 3. Administrative operations such as managing reservable spaces, submitting facility maintenance requests, and monitoring spending within budget guidelines 4. Support Galen Health by serving as primary department individual in charge of data collection, cleaning, analysis and visualization; Co-instruct University 290 during each spring semester; Assist faculty director in reviewing applications for Galen mini-Magellan research grant; Contribute to regular strategic planning and implementation efforts that align with LLC goals and Galen Pillars; Assist faculty director in identifying and contacting local clinicians, advocates, or other professionals to speak in Galens Supper Speaker series Perks: - Generous annual and sick leave accruement, along with 13 paid holidays. - An engaging and collaborative on-campus environment. Minimum and Additional Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Strong organizational and management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work independently. Ability to work with students in formal and informal capacities. Ability to multitask in a very busy and interactive student community. - Ability to maintain productive working relationships with Preston faculty and staff, colleagues in University Housing, Student Affairs, Campus Dining, and other campus departments. Working knowledge of MS operating system (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint) and Google products (calendar, forms, and docs). - Expertise in preparing, reporting, and interpreting reports. Skilled in marketing and social media. Ability to work on a flexible basis when activities fall outside of normal working times, including nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications - Masters Degree and 2 years. Experience working with college students in and outside of the classroom. Direct experience working with college students in and outside the classroom; experience with leadership initiatives and event management and programming for students and community members. Experience with the Healthcare system - Pending graduates eligible if candidate receives their degree by date of employment.
