    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Game Day Supervisor, Gates provides leadership to game-day staff, oversees designated areas to ensure organizational standards are upheld, and serves as a primary resource for guests by addressing questions and resolving issues. The role also supports event operations by maintaining clear communication with staff, monitoring the ballpark environment, and responding to operational needs to help ensure a smooth experience for all guests from entry through departure.

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Enforce policies and procedures set forth by The Phillies.
    • Monitor select areas of the ballpark while supervising staff.
    • Ensure proper staff coverage in assigned areas of supervision.
    • Regularly meet with assigned staff and brief staff on special instructions or situations.
    • Make sure all assigned areas are clear of debris or hazards and that all signage and appropriate number of trash cans are in place prior to gates opening.
    • Ensure all staff in the assigned area are in proper uniform and are present in their assigned area.
    • Assist guests with any questions or concerns and ensure proper follow-up discussion.
    • Maintain ticket discipline with all guests entering the ballpark.
    • Assist guests with ticketing issues and work to resolve all issues that arise.
    • Respond to all gate radio calls for assigned area.
    • Report all incidents in assigned area including input of information on incident tracking system.
    • Ensure that all guests leave the ballpark safely at the conclusion of events.
    • Lock all gates once the ballpark has been cleared of guests.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A minimum of 5 years of employment at The Phillies in a Game Day related role
    • Previous experience working on the gates during Phillies games strongly preferred.
    • Previous experience supervising or managing a team is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, guide, and lead employees effectively.
    • Strong working knowledge of Phillies incident reporting system, with exceptional attention to detail in documenting incidents accurately
    • Experience working in customer service environment outside of The Phillies is a plus.
    • Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing, and professional attitude and ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
