Essential Job Functions:
Remains present at the entrance of the racetrack and records names of every horse and trainer reporting for a workout. Records distance, the starting point and finishing points of the workout, and report this information to the appropriate Clocker.
Reports any exercise rider or trainer who refuses to supply required information to the Stewards.
Provide support to the receiving barn, stall office, and paddock to sustain racing operation.
Ensures the horses are assembled in their correct stalls.
All other duties as assigned by management.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing.
Responsible for fostering a fun environment.
Responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers.
Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Ensures that behavior and appearance are in compliance with established standards.
Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff
Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
Excellent customer service/communication skills
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Training:
1 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
