Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.Gardener:The Gardener is responsible for a variety of skilled or semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and operation of the Community Center garden and grounds at the Community Center facility, including landscaping, tree care, irrigation, and pond care.What You'll Be Doing:Maintains flower beds, open spaces, and lawns; removes weeds from plant beds and grounds; applies mulch, fertilizers, and aerates landscape beds.Manages the seeding schedule, seasonal color changes, hanging baskets, and replacement of perennial plants.Monitors, repairs, adjusts, and maintains the irrigation system at the Community Center facility.Trims, fertilizes, plants, and stakes trees; removes trimmings and cleans up after tree care activities.Cleans ponds, monitors water levels, fertilizes, and cares for aquatic plants; monitors, feeds, and cares for fish and other pond wildlife; maintains and monitors the filtration system and pumps.Performs routine garden and grounds maintenance, including manual labor such as shoveling soil and mulch, trail repairs, debris removal, and other physically demanding tasks necessary to maintain the gardens and landscape throughout the year, including non-planting seasons.What We're Looking For:A genuine love for children and a desire to make a difference in their lives.A team player with great energy and strong communication skills.Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.Professionalism when working with both kids and parents.Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age.A valid Texas driver's license.Schedule:Part-Time, 30-39 hours a weekShift: Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Friday 7 am to 2 pmBenefits:The District covers the entire cost of employees' medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance up to 50K.Retirement plan through the Texas County District Retirement System with a contribution match of 2 to 1 at retirementEmployee funded 457 optionCertification payLongevity payEmployee Community Center MembershipAccess to community pools and tennis courts50% Off Sports & Classes
