    Position Specific Description

    • Schedule natural gas on assigned pipelines in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner.
    • Support after-hours and weekend scheduling responsibilities on assigned pipelines, as needed.
    • Apply knowledge of transportation contracts, contract entitlements, and pipeline requirements to schedule gas accurately and effectively.
    • Develop a strong working knowledge of trade desk assets and may be assigned responsibility for a specific natural gas region, including the Northeast, Southeast, Gulf Coast, Midcontinent, or West.
    • Update daily actuals, scheduled quantities, and flow information in the accounting system.
    • Monitor pipeline bulletin boards, operational notices, and relevant communications to keep the trade desk informed of real-time market and operational developments.
    • Assist traders, accounting, and back-office teams with confirmation, invoice, and settlement reconciliation.
    • Perform additional duties and ad hoc support as assigned by management.
    • Analyze pipeline grid dynamics, capacity segmentation, and pipeline imbalances to help identify commercial opportunities and maximize value.
    • Support spot and prompt-month physical natural gas transactions, as needed.
    • Reconcile prior-period counterparty accounting issues and actualize physical natural gas flows.
    • Maintain productive working relationships with pipelines, local distribution companies, producers, and internal commercial teams.
    • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

    Job Overview

    Employees in this position provide analysis and support to the trade desk by scheduling daily nominations on intra- or interstate natural gas pipelines.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Communicates daily pipeline conditions to the trade desk
    • Manages daily flows, overall gas scheduling, and any related activity internally and externally
    • Analyzes pipeline grid dynamics to create and maximize opportunities and profits with capacity segmentation and pipeline imbalances
    • Assists in spot and prompt month dealings of physical natural gas as needed
    • Reconciles any prior counter party accounting issues and actualizes all physical flows
    • Maintains and improves relationship with pipelines, local distribution companies, and producers in any and all dealings
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Grad / GED
    • Bachelors or Equivalent Experience
    • Experience: 2+ years
