Gastroenterologist with a focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Albany Medical College is looking for a dedicated Gastroenterologist with a focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong interest in managing a complex patient population with GI conditions, particularly Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis.

In this role you would have the opportunity to:

• Work in an endoscopy suite equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, along with anesthesia support
• Diagnose, treat and manage patients with IBD
• Collaborate with colorectal, oncologic and trauma surgeons, interventional radiologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, GI pathologists and an on-site infusion clinic
• Perform various endoscopic procedures
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows
• Conduct research and perform scholarly work

Qualifications include:

• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine and board eligibility or board certification in Gastroenterology
• Experience in diagnosing and managing a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions with special interest in IBD
• Active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State
• Strong dedication to providing high-quality, patient centered care across diverse populations
