A hospital-employed practice in Central Jersey is actively seeking licensed Gastroenterologists to join their growing teams in Ocean and Monmouth Counties.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business (40 hours/week)
- Call: Typically 6 days/month (any calls after that are compensated for)
- Setting: Hospital-employed outpatient practice
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and conditions in the field of Gastroenterology
- Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients
- Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary
- Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results
- Providing compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concerns
- Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary
- Performing other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
