Description
Job Overview:
As part of the Pool Staff, you'll be responsible for enforcing pool rules and ensuring the safety of residents/guests in the pool area.
Your Responsibilities:
Enforcing all pool rules and regulations in a polite and professional manner.
Oversee the pool area
Make safety announcements
Maintain an inventory of all poolside equipment to always be in good working condition for guests
Ensure the safety of residents and guests utilizing the pool area.
Provide information and services to residents
Assists with set up and breakdown of poolside activities as needed
Ensure bathers are showering prior to entering pool.
Clean up the general pool area by returning chairs and equipment back to proper locations.
Report any safety or maintenance concerns to Manager.
Maintains bathrooms and general cleaning of facility
Checks sports equipment (ping pong, Tennis, Pickle ball and others) to make sure they are in good working order for guest use
Inspects Gym equipment for missing or broken parts.
Reports broken sports equipment to the manager so that replacement equipment can be ordered.
Be accessible to and approachable to residents/guests. ·
Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of High School diploma. CPR Certification is desirable.
Experience in the hospitality or service industry
Experience and training in customer service is highly desirable.
Experience in an aquatic setting desirable.
Basic cleaning skills
Work in a team environment
Highly effective interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and advanced communication skills a plus.
Must present a professional image. Must be outgoing and able to work with all types of people.
Accountable for one's own work, decisions and safety of oneself and safety of oneself and others.
Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Effective written and verbal communication skills; ·
Multiple language fluency is desirable. ·
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to lift 30 - 50 lbs
Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time
Walk and climb stairs
Reach with hands and arms
Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word
Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions
Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
Compensation:
$17 per hour
