The University of Florida’s Office of Admissions is seeking enthusiastic and motivated graduate students to support the Gator Welcome Guide program. In this role, you’ll help coordinate student staff, deliver presentations to prospective students and families, and contribute to creating a welcoming and memorable campus visit experience.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist with coordinating schedules of 100+ Gator Welcome Guides to ensure tour and event coverage and assist with time keeping.
Provide leadership support by assisting with supervision and training, as requested.
Provide admission presentations to visitors at the Welcome Center and during on-campus and off-campus events.
Serve as a representative at large visit and virtual events, assisting with tours, guest check-in, and helping with event logistics such as setup, materials, and signage. Some evening, weekend, and break availability may be required.
Support the daily operations of the Welcome Center, Criser Hall front desk, and Events team, delivering excellent customer service.
Oversee management of Welcome Center email and case management system, including responding to inquiries from prospective students and families via phone and email.
May assist with freshman application counseling and holistic and finalization review.
Assist with other responsibilities as needed.
Expected Salary:
$20 /hour
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Must be a current UF Graduate Student
Preferred:
Previous experience as a tour guide, student ambassador, or customer-facing role
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with large audiences
Availability to support tours, including select Saturdays and Sundays, home game Fridays, and UF academic breaks to meet high visitor volume
Experience leading, supervising, or coordinating a team, especially in a peer or student-focused setting
Preference will be given to graduate students who:
Can commit to the position for at least one year, starting with the fall semester
Are available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
Are available to work during school breaks (winter break, spring break, etc.)
Special Instructions to Applicants:
This position will report to the Welcome Center or Criser Hall but may involve extensive walking across various locations on campus.
