Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Stockroom Intern to join our team.This is a temporay part time role. In this role, you will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of our stockroom, learning how to manage inventory flow, process incoming and outgoing stock, and maintain an efficient storage system.
This internship is a great fit for individuals interested in logistics, supply chain management, retail operations, or warehouse management who enjoy hands-on, active work.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Log-in: Unload deliveries, inspect incoming merchandise/materials for damage, verify counts against packing slips, and log items into the inventory system.
Shelving & Stocking: Organize and store items in their assigned bin locations, ensuring proper labeling and adhering to the first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory method where applicable.
Picking & Packing: Fulfill internal or external requests by accurately picking items from stock, packing them securely, and preparing them for distribution or shipment..
Stockroom Upkeep: Keep aisles, shelves, and packing stations clean, safe, and free of clutter or hazards.
Space Optimization: Assist stockroom leadership with reorganizing stock areas to maximize space efficiency and improve picking speeds.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High school student, vocational student, or college student seeking part time work.
Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy when reading product codes, numbers, and logging counts.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40-50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with basic spreadsheet tools (Excel/Google Sheets) or eagerness to learn inventory software and barcode scanners.
Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
