GCBP Labor Further Processing

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Team Members performing this job are responsible for duties such as inspecting and removing eggs classified as dirty or leakers as they move through the production line, operate the flat washer, unload flats onto the breaker belt, move barrels, and assist the floor supervisor with other duties as necessary. The position will rotate every few hours between the different positions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Remove leakers and dirts from production line.
• Operate flat washer when needed.
• Keep area neat, clean, and organized.
• Alert management of any urgent or emergency situations requiring immediate attention or approval.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Capable of performing routine math calculations, including addition and subtraction.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to reach areas only accessible by ladder. Must be able to climb to and perform repairs on equipment in hard-to-reach-places.
• Be available to work flexible hours - including nights and weekends.
• Willing to comply with all Rose Acre's safety, employment, and GMP policies including working in a 100% smoke-free environment.
• Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
• Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
• Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
• Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
