Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for analyzing and interpreting a client's credit worthiness, evaluating credit risks, and writing credit approval memos for annual renewals and new lending opportunities. Key responsibilities include analyzing qualitative and quantitative data such as client's financials, projections, industry data, covenant compliance, and collateral appraisals to ensure compliance with the bank's risk appetite. Job expectations include completing regular monitoring and underwriting tasks and supporting key internal stakeholders to achieve successful execution of new transactions.Team member is responsible for analyzing and assessing a client's credit worthiness, evaluating credit exposure, and writing credit approval memos for annual renewals and new opportunities. Key responsibilities include analyzing qualitative and quantitative information such as client's financials, projections, industry data, covenant compliance, and collateral appraisals to ensure compliance with the Bank's risk appetite. Job expectations include completing timely, regular monitoring and underwriting tasks and supporting key internal stakeholders to achieve successful execution of transactions and facilities.Performs credit analysis in support of the origination, underwriting and portfolio management process for U.S./CAN Banks and Brokers clients within GCIB. Product focus primarily geared toward traded products and syndicated and bilateral revolving credit. Additional exposure to Treasury/Cash Management and Leases. Active portfolio with tight turnaround times.Responsibilities:Analyzes client's financial performance by comparing it to past performance, projections, and industry standardsReviews financial statements, assesses the client's compliance with financial covenants, and renews risk ratings, while recommending changes as warrantedAssists in the underwriting, credit risk analysis, negotiation, and closing of new transactions or existing transactions, while adhering to all relevant policies and proceduresEvaluates transaction and relationship risk-adjusted profitability to facilitate the allocation of capitalBuilds projection models for the client (as needed) based on historical performance, industry forecasts, and other due diligence findingsTrains, coaches, and mentors credit analysts, and collaborate with team membersCredit coverage of Banks, Broker Dealers, and Exchange Companies clientsManage the end-to-end credit approval process by managing analysts and the portfolio monitoring team-work flow to ensure quality of work and timeline management of deliverables.Required Qualifications: 2+ years commercial and/or corporate banking credit experienceExperience in underwriting, credit risk analysis, negotiation, and closing of new transactions or existing transactions, while adhering to all relevant policies and proceduresMust have commercial credit analysis, financial modeling, traded products and underwriting experienceMust have proficient Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point skillsDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or another related fieldFormal credit training or related certificationsStrong foundation in finance and accounting with experience building three statement and/or cash flow financial models.Skills:Analytical ThinkingFinancial AnalysisFinancial Forecasting and ModelingProfitability AnalysisResearch AnalysisAttention to DetailBusiness AcumenCredit and Risk AssessmentUnderwritingWritten CommunicationsCollaborationCritical ThinkingPortfolio AnalysisPrioritizationTechnical DocumentationShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40 Learn more about this role Apply × To proceed with your application, you must be at least 18 years of age.
