GCP Cloud Engineer

Position Overview
Seeking for a GCP Cloud Engineer to accelerate project delivery by implementing enterprise-grade cloud designs and automation standards. Operating within a DevOps methodology, you will lead cloud migration and modernization projects, provision application hosting environments, build robust monitoring systems, and ensure high availability.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code: Deploy and manage GCP infrastructure using Terraform integrated into automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Standardization: Define, document, and govern SOPs for secure consumption of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS across GCP.
- Core Networking: Configure and deploy highly available VPC environments and cloud compute instances.
- Security Automation: Work with NetSecOps and CISO teams to embed security policies into infrastructure templates.
- Identity & Access: Manage cloud-platform users, organizations, and access controls.
- Observability: Design and implement monitoring, logging, and reporting capabilities.
- Innovation & Advocacy: Analyze emerging GCP features and promote cloud capabilities to internal teams.
- Tier-2 Support: Act as the escalation point for complex incident resolution.
- On-Call Operations: Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 after-hours on-call schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years of infrastructure development experience with GCP foundation services.
- At least 5 years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience in Terraform or similar.
- Deep domain expertise in cloud infrastructure solutions, technical experience, and aptitude to learn new technologies.
- Proven ability to adapt to rapidly changing cloud trends.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting capabilities in Bash, Python, YAML, and PowerShell.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms.
