Gen AI Front-End Engineer

Overview

Client is seeking a GenAI Front-End Engineer to build a reusable conversational and analytics experience that can be embedded into products owned by other teams. This role focuses on creating integration-ready user experiences that receive authentication, screen context, filters, and user actions from host applications while delivering rich AI-powered interactions.

The engineer will develop and operate embedded GenAI interfaces capable of displaying streamed responses, conversation history, tables, charts, citations, and analytics content through integration patterns such as micro-frontends, Web Components, embedded SDKs, module federation, or secure iframes.

Core Responsibilities
• Build reusable conversational and analytics experiences that can be embedded within host applications owned by other teams.
• Design and implement integration approaches using micro-frontends, Web Components, embedded SDKs, module federation, or secure iframe patterns.
• Develop clean integration APIs, SDK contracts, callbacks, events, and versioned interfaces for host application consumption.
• Capture and utilize host-application context, including active pages, filters, selected objects, and user actions.
• Build streaming, multi-turn GenAI experiences with clarification workflows, conversation history, and robust error handling.
• Render structured AI responses, including tables, charts, citations, and reusable result components.
• Integrate REST and streaming APIs while managing authentication, authorization, and token handling.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proven experience embedding a UI, service, or micro-frontend within another application.
• Experience designing integration APIs, SDK contracts, callbacks, events, and versioned interfaces.
• Experience capturing and utilizing host-application context such as active screens, filters, selected objects, and user actions.
• Experience building streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with clarification flows, conversation history, and error handling.
• Experience rendering structured responses, including tables, charts, citations, and reusable results.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, streaming APIs, authentication mechanisms, and token management.

Preferred Skills or Experience
• Experience building reusable UI SDKs or components consumed by multiple host applications.
• Experience with micro-frontends, Web Components, module federation, or secure iframe integration patterns.
• Familiarity with MCP clients, embedded analytics platforms, or enterprise copilot products.
• Familiarity with AWS, Amazon Bedrock, and AgentCore-backed applications.

Work Details
• Bay Area preferred, with the ability to work from the office 1–2 days per week.
• Candidates outside the Bay Area must provide 4–6 hours of daily working overlap with Pacific Time.
