Location: Atlanta, GA onsite
Duration: 5-6 months contract to hire

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced GenAI Architect (Application Side) to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-grade Generative AI applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), AI application architecture, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, prompt engineering, and cloud-native application development. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and production-ready GenAI solutions that integrate with enterprise applications and business workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for Generative AI applications using LLMs and modern AI frameworks.
• Lead the development of AI-powered applications, chatbots, copilots, virtual assistants, and intelligent automation solutions.
• Architect Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using vector databases and enterprise knowledge repositories.
• Design multi-agent AI systems using frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.
• Integrate foundation models from OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, or open-source LLMs.
• Define scalable application architecture using microservices, REST APIs, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native technologies.
• Develop secure AI solutions with authentication, authorization, data privacy, content filtering, and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, UX designers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into AI solutions.
• Establish AI governance, observability, monitoring, evaluation, and model performance metrics.
• Optimize application performance, latency, token consumption, and operational costs.
• Mentor engineering teams on GenAI best practices, design patterns, and enterprise architecture.
• Create architecture documentation, technical standards, reusable components, and reference implementations.
• Stay current with emerging GenAI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering or solution architecture experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience building Generative AI applications in production.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), transformers, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale AI application architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one additional programming language such as Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native development.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and databases.
• Knowledge of software architecture principles including scalability, reliability, resiliency, and security.
