Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Staffmark is hiring a General Accountant in Charlotte for someone who knows the numbers, keeps the books tight, and gets it done. Accurately.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups) preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, or similar); Paychex Flex a plus
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Job Duties:
- Manage full-cycle accounting functions including AR (payment processing, collections) and AP (vendor invoices, expense reports)
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and support accruals
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues with customers and vendors
- Assist with payroll processing, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
- Support month-end and year-end close, including financial statement preparation and audit support
- Prepare financial, sales, and operational reports
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and internal controls
