Job Summary and Qualifications

Assist Vascular Surgeon, Radiologist, Cardiologist and other physicians as applicable in performance of quality diagnostic Vascular Sonographic procedures in an accurate and timely manner. Operates ultrasound & Segmental Pressure equipment, prepares patient’s room, equipment, supplies, and medications. Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Maintains safe environment for patients, fellow-workers, and visitors. Supports and helps achieve departmental and hospital goals. Provides service to all age groups. (Infant – Geriatric).


What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (RDMS-AB) RDMS Abdomen Specialty, or (RDMS-OB/GYN) RDMS Obstetrics & Gynecology, or Associate Degree, or Certificate
  • (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography / Vascular Ultrasound Program.
