Job Description

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 2 full-time General Dentist to provide services to the Department of Veterans (VA) and Orlando VA Health Care System (OVAHCS).

Job Summary: A General Dentist must provide Dental services and quality care to our Veteran population. The primary location for General Dentists will be at the Lake Nona Orlando VA Medical Center. However, travel to the additional outpatient clinics within the Orlando VA Health Care System (OVAHCS) may be required to support operational needs. General Dentists are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.

Pay: $125/hr

Duties:

• Minimal sedation/Anxiolysis (oral only, single agent)
• Treatment of caries, defective restoration, traumatic injuries to teeth, and occlusal therapy.
• Prosthetic replacement of missing dentition (fixed and removable)
• Prosthetic restoration of single implants and implant-retained denture
• Endodontic therapy, non-surgical, Gingivectomy/Genioplasty
• Simple and surgical extractions, socket preservation, and alveoplasty
• Localized delivery of chemotherapeutic agents
• Minor pre-prosthetic surgery (soft and hard tissue)
• Repair of minor intra-oral lacerations and/or traumatic wounds
• Soft tissue intra-oral biopsy (less than 1cm)
• Emergency dental treatment
• Oral Pathology/oral medicine
• Non-surgical management of temporomandibular disorders & complete occlusal adjustment
• Post-mortem dental exam for purpose of identification.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and a current and active license in any state or US territory. All licenses shall be full and unrestricted.
• A minimum of two (2) consecutive years of postgraduate experience. This can include experience gained through residency or direct patient care.
• Must have an active BLS (AHA preferred) certification.
• General Dentists must be able to provide dental care not limited to consultation, comprehensive dental examination, diagnosis, preventative and/or therapeutic treatment of diseases, disorders, and/ or condition of the oral cavity, maxillofacial area and/or the adjacent and associated structures.

Additional Information:

• Schedule will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
• General Dentist may be required to provide services outside of regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. When such coverage is required, the Government will provide at least two (2) weeks' advance notice when feasible.
• General Dentist may be required to travel between sites for coverage, as determined by Orlando VA Health Care Systems (OVAHCS) service's needs.
