Description for General Dentist Position


Dental specialties center seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. As a General Dentist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dental care to our diverse patient population and coordinate treatment with the dental specialists. Your responsibilities will include performing routine dental examinations, diagnosing dental conditions, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality dental care, including root canal treatments, in a comfortable and professional environment. Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct thorough dental examinations to assess oral health and detect dental conditions such as cavities, gum disease, and oral cancers.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, including X-rays  including 3 D and intraoral cameras, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Perform routine dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions, root canal treatments, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
  • Administer preventive treatments such as fluoride applications and dental sealants to protect patients' teeth from decay. Using Nitrous when indicated. 
  • Restore and replace teeth damaged by decay, trauma, or other dental conditions using crowns, bridges, implants, or dentures.
  • Provide emergency dental care for patients experiencing acute dental pain or trauma.
  • Collaborate with dental specialists, including orthodontists, endodontists, Implants dentistry and oral surgeons, to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans for patients requiring specialized care.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care strategies to promote long-term oral health.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using our electronic dental records system.
  • Adhere to infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards and guidelines.
 
 
Qualifications:


  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Active state dental license in good standing.
  • Proven experience as a General Dentist or in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and proficiency in performing dental procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
  • Commitment to continuing education and staying current with advancements in dental technology and techniques.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate care and fostering a positive patient experience.
  •  Denti-Cal provider a plus 

Compensation: Starting rate $650.00 per day plus monthly generous bonuses and unlimited earning potential
