Position Summary

Apex Skin is seeking a qualified Physician Associate with dermatology experience to join its clinical team in Canton, Ohio. This Advanced Practice Provider will provide medical care to patients in an outpatient setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of dermatologic conditions. This role works collaboratively with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care in accordance with applicable state laws and organizational policies. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic dermatologic conditions
  • Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans, including prescribing medications in accordance with state regulations
  • Perform dermatologic procedures within scope of practice and competency
  • Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive skin care
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, as applicable

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant
  • Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical dermatology experience required
  • Experience performing dermatologic procedures
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
