Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize, instruct, and supervise students in classroom and other settings as assigned.
  • Prepare Course syllabi and learning outcomes in conjunction with departmental guidelines.
  • Participate in the selection of texts and teaching materials.
  • Maintain classroom, equipment, supplies, and learning environments.
  • Assess competencies of students in an organized and documented manner.
  • Assist in the development, evaluation, and revision of program curricula to insure maximum student competency.
  • Assist students in attaining industry certifications.
  • Collect, maintain, and submit performance data for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain records on grades and attendance.
  • Assist in registering students for course.
  • Cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Must comply with all policies of the Alabama Community college System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northwest Shoals Community College.
  • Maintain currency of professional knowledge, skills, and required licensures through professional development and continuing education.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required
  • Minimum of Associate's Degree in any Engineering-Related field required
  • Three years of experience in Manufacturing required

Effective oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills

Hourly rate $50.00. (19 hours or less per week with NO BENEFITS)
