The Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease (IDHLD) is seeking a full-time general gastroenterologist for immediate appointment. The institute is well-established with specializations in hepatology, IBD, motility disorders, therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal surgery, and advanced pancreatic disorders. The Institute is as a hybrid between academia and the private sector combining the best aspects of both. Salary and benefits are competitive and on-call is infrequent.
Responsibilities:
The physician will work within the IDHLD and manage all aspects of patient care including evaluation, diagnosis, education and treatment. The physician will have opportunity to hold clinics in the surrounding counties (example: Anne Arundel and Baltimore County) in addition to their clinic at Mercy.
IDHLD has a fully established State-of-the-Art motility center with a support system to complement the center including experienced therapeutic endoscopists, nurses, dietician and surgeons. Quick facts about the program are below:
