POSITION SUMMARY:The Production Potato Unloader position will be responsible for unloading of potato trays, unloading of filled racks into the Retort ovens and all equipment needed for these tasks.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Case Packer/Skidder position will be responsible for the packing and skidding on the pack lines. The Case Packer/Skidder will also be required to rotate to other pack lines to cover breaks, lunches, vacations or call offs. These positions rotate throughout the pack side from packing positions and skidding. Employees will also be required to rotate to the clean side (cold area) for hand packing duties.
Shifts & Payrates:
  • 1st shift pay up to 17.14
  • 2nd shift pay up to 21.88

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Safely unload 30-4 pounds of potato trays, lift them to various heights and place empty trays back into racks
  • Unload of filled racks into the Retort ovens
  • Responsible for safely and correct set-up/operation of dumper, carts, racks demons, barrels, magnets
  • Safely scrape cooked potatoes from trays and watch for foreign objects and quality
  • Move full barrels and demons safely to various areas of the plant
  • Safely remove 2,000 pound cooked potato carts from the oven and move them in a team setting
  • Follow all LOTO procedures for the area
  • Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times
  • Follow all SFC Core Values and be a team player
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Skidding, inspection
  • Can properly start and stop the case packer and case sealer
  • Packing of products and cleaning of the equipment
  • Quality checks to assure product is packaged according to the production sheet (label/expiration date/code).
  • Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times
  • Follow all SFC Core Values and be a team player
  • Other duties as assigne

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Machine Operator experience required
  • Basic knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Knowledge of Food Safety preferred
  • Must have a strong attention to detail, and good time management
  • Good communications and basic computer skills
