2nd Shift: 3PM - 11:00PM
This position includes but is not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:- Accept personal responsibility for condition of assigned equipment
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
- Operates his/her equipment according to standard operating procedures and current quality specifications
- Maintains good housekeeping practices in his/her area and thoroughly cleans the equipment when it is shut down
- Performs his/her work in a safe manner, observing all safety rules to assure adequate protection to him or her and others
- Reports to the proper personnel when factors affecting quality, safety, or packaging appear to be out of control
- Abides by the shift relief and break policies as prescribed by department SOP's or protocols
- Performs other job duties as directed by his/her supervisor
- Palletizing product and preparing for shipment
- Utilizes lifting devices that require significant motor skills
- Must be able to read and follow instructions from a computer document
- Forklift Experience Required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS:
Lift up to 40 lbs.
Standing/walking 95%
Overhead reaching up to 25%
Overhead lifting 25% Working climate: > 80o - 10% exposure
Qualifications:
High School or equivalent. Prefer two or more years of work experience in the field of manufacturing/closely related field or two or more years of formal education and related work experience combined.
Experience with general manufacturing principles
Experience with forklifts and other industrial equipment, preferred
Possess the ability to successfully complete specific assignments which must be accomplished under considerable time pressure
Work equally well individually or in a team situation
Be able to follow and give high regard to safety rules and housekeeping procedures
Able to read and comprehend English, identify numbers correctly, use tape measure accurately, basic computer literacy with ability to learn new programs
