Position Summary
The General Laborer performs a variety of tasks that support manufacturing, warehouse, and facility operations. This position is responsible for assisting with production processes, material handling, housekeeping, and other duties necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Production Support
Assist production personnel with manufacturing and assembly operations.
Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products.
Prepare products for processing, packaging, and shipment.
Perform basic equipment operation and monitor production processes as assigned.
Material Handling
Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
Maintain proper organization and storage of materials.
Assist with packaging, labeling, palletizing, and staging products for shipment.
Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as authorized.
Housekeeping & Facility Support
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Remove scrap materials and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
Assist with facility cleaning and general upkeep.
Support maintenance and warehouse personnel as needed.
Safety & Quality
Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Inspect products for obvious defects and report quality concerns.
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Team Support
Assist various departments based on production and operational needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or labor experience preferred.
Entry-level candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
